How to care for alpaca socks? Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Gently press out excess water and lay flat to dry. If machine washing, use a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry.

110 Mile March Game Changer!
Every September for the past 5 years I've attended the Black Hills 110 Mile Veteran's March. I walked 3 of the 5 years, and the hardest part about walking those 110 miles in 4 days were the blisters. Last summer I did a lot of research on socks and came across Clohill. Because of the reviews I saw about Baby Alpaca Wool, I decided I would give them a try. I also ordered a different brand that also showed good reviews. The second sock I ordered had toes sewn in. The first day I wore the Clohill socks in the morning and we had to walk in rain. My feet got wet, but by the time I got to our first stop, no blisters. Because of the wet feet, I changed my shoes and socks to the other brand. Within 3 miles, I could feel a blister forming on the ball of my left foot. So I grabbed another pair of the Clohill socks and never looked back! The small blister that formed did not continue to grow or cause me any pain after wearing the Clohill socks. I finished the full 110 miles without the blisters I had experienced the previous years. Clohill socks are my favorite! They are My go to when I know I will be on my feet all day. They are comfortable and fit my feet (size 9), I ordered the size small ankle socks. I usually wear a boys sock because the adult regular heel goes up to my ankle and does not sit at the heel where it is supposed to. These socks hold up wash after wash and feel so good. I am walking again this year in September and plan to order more not just for me, but for my team as well. Watching my teammates suffer from blisters was just as painful to watch as it was a reminder of what I went through the other 2 years. Thank you Clohill for an exceptional product!
I meant to do this review after I was finished with the march, but exhaustion won. Then I spaced it off and it became less of a priority. I forgot to mention in my review that during the march the temperatures vary greatly. And go from 40° mornings to temps in the 90°'s in the afternoons.
My feet stayed warm and cool and more importantly dry. Except of course from the rain. Now I am getting ready for September and will be ordering Clohill socks again as I lost one sock in the wash. And as stated in my review, I want to order these socks for my teammates as well.

Wednesday Sept 17th, I started the 110 mile Black Hills Veteran's Endurance March. The ultimate test! We walk so many miles per day and then sleep in a cabin at night. The first day we got rained on with heavy downpours. I changed my socks but not my shoes as it seemed pointless. No blisters! The 2nd day I wore a different brand of sock and a different pair of shoes while my other shoes were drying. I received hot spots on my heels and a small blister on the ball of my left foot. Bandages were put on the hot spots and mole skin and blister bandaid on the blister for the remainder of the week. 3rd day, back to the Clohill socks and the dried out shoes. No other blisters appeared. 4th day, I repeated the Clohill socks and the original shoes, no new blisters. When I checked the 1 blister on Sunday, it was healed and gone. I believe whole heartedly in these Clohill socks!! They are the way to go!!
These socks are soft, warm, and comfortable. They feel nice, look great, and fit my feet perfectly. They're doing everything I'd expect them to. As of right now, they're fantastic. If they wear too fast, I'll come back and edit my review.
Okay, I'm only 2 days in with these socks, but so far I love them. I've been a SmartWool loyalist for ages, but SmartWool's quality has taken a huge nosedive, so I'm exploring other brands. We'll see how these hold up over time, but I do really appreciate the lifetime warranty.
I’ve been looking for socks that go with casual shoes, some didn’t last one wearing…these do. They are comfortable and sturdy but not too heavy. I’d recommend and buy again.
For my wife. She is allergic to wool. These socks from the alpaca do not cause her any problems. She said they are a little large for her tiny feet. I didn't confirm her size before I ordered, but she said they are comfortable
This is my second order for the socks. They are warm and cushy but don’t take up too much room in my running and walking shoes and they reduce odor. Good fit. My family members have been stealing these socks because they like them so much so I had to order more.
These socks are great. I have bought them twice and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again. They are well made, durable, warm, and comfortable. I wear socks almost all the time because I have cold feet, even during sleep.
Super comfortable socks! Excellent for hiking, running, anything. They stay put and don’t slide down my heal like some others annoyingly do. I wear a size 11-11.5 in women’s, and it’s so nice to find a good brand that carries women’s socks in my size. A tad pricey but worth it.
