How to care for alpaca socks? Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Gently press out excess water and lay flat to dry. If machine washing, use a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry.

So, we stayed at an Alpaca ranch (Old Lyfe Alpacas) in Nevada on our way to Yosemite/Sequoia and bought a pair of hiking socks and 3 pair of grippy 'booties'. They we soooo wonderful that I had to look for other Alpaca sources as I vowed that would be all I would ever wear. That is how I found Clohill. I bought a 3-pack (2 Navy, one Green). To be honest, I had to wait a little while to review them because they were a little snugger fit than I usually wear. However, unlike Darn Tough which are just too tight ... these were cozy (Just took a bit to get used to). The difference is likely due to the sticking patterns around the arch and ankle in Clohill- the difference e between cozy and too tight! They are extremely comfortable and the colors are nice. Will definitely be buying more in the future.
Everything you want in warm socks
Clohill socks is the best for hiking. The padding is great and the socks stay up. They wash well and no blisters as the alpaca wicks up moisture. Size is on target.
